Why study Scripture?
- "We study something that is living and powerful."
- "We grapple with eternal truths."
- "We delve into the divine Word of God."
- "We study God's unchanging Word so that it can change us."
Though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries
and all knowledge, and though I have all faith
so that I could remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing.
and all knowledge, and though I have all faith
so that I could remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing.
A paraphrase:
If I could speak for God and could unravel any enigma
and knew all there was to know and have perfect trust,
enough to do the miraculous, but cared nothing for others,
and knew all there was to know and have perfect trust,
enough to do the miraculous, but cared nothing for others,
I will have missed the whole point!
