Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

We have been in God's thought from all eternity,
and in His creative love,
His attention never leaves us.

That's a very important quote in so many respects. I have a habit of watching the Discovery Channel (well, not anymore, since we don't have cable), and lately they've had lots of "Life Without People" and other apocalypse shows. It's a very scary thought that the world could end at any point, and also humbling to realize that your life is just a blip, a mere second, in the grand scheme of things. But knowing that God knew you since the beginning, that's uplifting.
